How to Apply

Our online application system has been designed for simplicity, making it easy for you to express your interest in a advertised position.

To apply, please follow these steps:

  1. Complete the application form with your personal details.
  2. Attach your updated CV, highlighting your qualifications and experiences.
  3. Include a well-crafted cover letter expressing your genuine interest in the position and showcasing your relevant experiences.

For academic applications, in addition to the above requirements, we kindly request that you also submit a Summary Document of Relevant Work Experience. This document should provide a detailed breakdown of your years of service, listing your tenure each employer and time fraction. Past statements of service will be accepted.

Our Process at a Glance

  • Step 1: Formal Application – To kickstart the process, we kindly request candidates to complete a formal application. This step allows us to gain insight into your unique skills and experiences, enabling us to better understand your potential fit within our School.
  • Step 2: Face-to-Face Interview – Shortlisted candidates will be extended an invitation for a face-to-face interview. During this interview, we’ll delve deeper into getting to know you and exploring how your qualities align with the position. It’s an opportunity for us to assess your suitability for the role and for you to understand more about our school and the opportunities we offer. At this stage reference checks are completed.
  • Step 3: Final Interview with a Personal Touch – We recognise that the recruitment process is a two-way street. It’s not just about us selecting the right candidate; it’s also about you determining if Ivanhoe Grammar School is the right fit for you. That’s why our final interview includes a special walking tour led by a senior leader. This tour gives you the chance to experience our warm and welcoming school environment firsthand, allowing you to envision yourself as a valued member of our close-knit community. Your comfort and excitement about joining our school are essential to us, and we’re eager to show you around and answer any questions you may have.
