Years 7 -11 Graduate Art & Design Exhibition

Last week saw ArtsEdge at Locksley completely transformed into a vibrant display space of student work. The Years 7-11 Art & Design Exhibition officially opened on Wednesday 11 September and showcased innovative and unique student art and product design work.

The exhibition was officially opened by Bella Plush a past student from the Class of 2014 who is currently working as a designer at SDWM. Bella shared her career highlights and acknowledged Ivanhoe Grammar School’s role in providing a supporting foundation for where she is today.

This year Charlotte Hunt, a Year 10 student, was the proud recipient of the Old Ivanhoe Grammarians’ Association encouragement award in Arts. This award is the highlight of the Art & Design exhibition and was presented to Charlotte by Peter Swain from the class of 1975 and who is now Head of Development at Ivanhoe Grammar School.

The Deans Art award was presented to Year 11 student Jack Wright, as chosen by Dani Scaramuzzino who has a long association with the Art & Design department.

Departmental excellence and special recognition awards were also presented to students from each of the Years 7 to 11 Art and Design classes.
