Years 2 and 3 ‘Aus Kickers’ have a ball at the MCG
On Friday 1 May, twelve Buckley House students from the Years 2 and 3 Auskick program had the opportunity to play during half time at the Carlton V Collingwood match at the MCG.
All the boys were very excited to get the chance to play in front of a crowd of over 70,000 people. It was also a very exciting night, with the announcement that Mick Malthouse had broken the VFL/AFL coaching record.
All the boys enjoyed running out onto the hallowed turf of the MCG and playing a friendly game of 6 on 6 versus their friends.
The boys who participated were:
Red Team
Ben, James, Iggy, Tom, Michael and Jeremy
Blue Team
Ryan, Jack, Harrison, DJ, Heath and Daniel
Thank you to all the parents who supported their children on the night, especially Paul Rodgers who kindly took on the responsibility of coordinating the students for the evening.
