Winning streak for Ivanhoe softballers
In another outstanding display, Ivanhoe’s girls softball team kept their 2016 winning form intact with a convincing win over Geelong Grammar, 22 to 11. Tysha Clark hit a mammoth home run, and Cecillia Baldassarre and Jacque Mitchelhill were both dynamic in the batter’s box. Georgia Harper and Chloe Dellavedova also made some terrific infield plays.
The Girls’ volleyball team also had a convincing win, keeping them within sight of the Premiership but unfortunately the Girls’ tennis team could not repeat the success of their previous week’s effort.
In Boys’ sport, the tennis team qualified for the final (3rd year in succession) with a big win against TPS, 15 games to 1. They will most likely play Mentone Grammar School in the final on Saturday 5 March.
