Winning streak for female athletes
During the School holidays, students Betti and Emma performed exceptionally well in their respective sports, Soccer and Indoor Cricket. Betti represents Victoria in Soccer and Emma represented Victoria in Indoor Cricket.
Year 7 student, Betti competed in the Football Federation Australia National Girls Youth Championship representing Victoria. This was a great experience for Betti playing a game a day, finishing with 4 wins, 1 loss and the championship, the first time ever for Victoria. Betti had a great tournament as she was equal top goal scorer.
Year 8 student, Emma represented Victoria at the U14 Girls Indoor Cricket Nationals. Victoria won the national title and Emma was awarded the player of the series and selected for the all-star team of the tournament. Emma started out playing Milo Cricket when she was just six-years old and she now hopes to one day play in the WBBL for the Vic Spirit and then go onto play for the Southern Stars.
The School wishes both girls the best in their future endeavours.
