Wildwater World Championships and International Canoe Slalom Championships
Five Ivanhoe students have represented Australia this week in two International Canoe Federation Championships.
Tristan Carter, Lachlan Bassett and Cameron McLaughlan competed in the 2017 ICF Canoe Slalom Junior and Under 23 World Championships in Bratislava, Slovakia. All three put in outstanding performances, with Lachlan qualifying for the semi-finals and finishing 23rd overall.
The ICF Junior and Under 23 Wildwater Championships are about to wrap-up in Murau, Austria with students Madison Wilson, James O’Donoghue-Hayes and Lachlan Bassett representing Australia.
It is an incredible achievement to gain a place on the Australian team in such a highly-skilled and competitive sport. Congratulations!
