Victorian Equestrian Interschool Grand Final
The Ivanhoe Grammar School Equestrian Team competed at the Victorian Equestrian Interschool Grand Final at the Werribee National Equestrian Centre over the weekend. The Show jumping was held on Saturday 6 August and Dressage on Sunday 7 August.
Ivanhoe Grammar School won the Team Championship for Show Jumping and as a result has finished first in the Northern Shield for Show Jumping.
New team member, Cassidy Neubauer (Yr 10) and her horse Louie, won both her classes and was awarded the Championship of the Grand Final. Cassidy has performed successfully throughout the year and has won the Championship for the entire Victorian Interschool series for 2016.
Jessica Grant (Yr 11) has continued her consistent form, winning the Grand Final Championship on her horse Roxy and placing 3rd on her other horse Surprise. Jess and Surprise placed 4th overall for the 2016 VEIS series and will be representing Victoria at the National Interschool Championships in Sydney on September.
Clancy Grant (Yr 8) has also had a successful day, winning the reserve Champion title and the right to compete with Jess at the National Interschool Championships.
Alice Davies (Yr 6), won both her classes on Saturday and won the Grand Final Championships with her horse Hollie.
Edward Darby (Yr 8) had a successful day with 4 clear rounds, and one of our newest competitors, Zali Vanderwert on Bailey placed 10th in her section and enjoyed being part of a great team.
Brigitte Theuma (Yr 11) competed in the Dressage on Sunday, riding a consistent test in the Senior Novice section.
