VCE Results 2013
It’s been another great year for students completing their VCE at Ivanhoe Grammar School.
,, ,,The Dux of the Plenty Campus for 2013 is Kangli Hu, who attained an ATAR of 99.70 placing him in the top 1% of the state. Since joining the School in Year 5, Kangli has displayed outstanding academic prowess, particularly in Maths and Science. Throughout the Middle Years, he won Studies Prizes and Subject Awards and this success continued in the Senior Years where he received Academic Achievement Awards, Subject Awards and a Senior Full Honour. Kangli complemented his academic endeavours by working backstage in this year’s Plenty Campus production of You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown and participating in the School’s sports program.
,, ,,The highest performing VCE student at The Ridgeway Campus this year is Bradley Beckett who achieved an ATAR of 99.25, placing him in the top 1% of the state. Bradley started attending Ivanhoe in Year 7 and has gained consistently strong academic results across all subject areas. He has received Academic Achievement Awards throughout the Middle and Senior Years, was Dux of Year 9 and has been awarded Subject Awards in English, Science, and Legal Studies as well as a Senior Full Honour and the Eric Alston Biology Prize in Year 11. Bradley has also represented the School in Tennis and Debating.
,, ,,All members of the Class of 2013 can be proud of what they achieved with 26% of students achieving an ATAR above 90, placing them in the top 10% of the State and 53% of students attaining an ATAR above 80 placing them in the top 20% of the State.
,, ,,“The School is again gratified that with the support of staff and our learning environment students’ academic outcomes have again been maximised and we look forward to learning of the students’ destinations in terms of tertiary study in due course,’’ said the Principal, Rod Fraser.
,, ,,Now the School eagerly awaits the release of IB results early in the new year, which will provide a full picture of the fantastic results of the Class of 2013 and the Dux of The Ridgeway Campus will be annoucned. ,,
