Undefeated AGSV Boys’ Firsts Volleyball Premiers
The Boys’ Firsts Volleyball team has achieved the perfect season, going undefeated and capping it off with a dominant 3-0 Grand Final victory (25-17, 25-12, 25-13) to claim the AGSV title.
This victory is a testament to a dedicated and hardworking group of athletes who have been striving for this moment for at least two years. Their passion for volleyball, camaraderie, and sheer joy in playing as a team shone through, and they delivered their best performance when it mattered most—a truly rewarding way to conclude their journey.
The support was incredible on the day—over 100 students, teachers, and parents packed the stands, banging drums, chanting, and cheering, creating an electric atmosphere. A special shoutout to the Girls’ Volleyball team, who showed up in full force to support the boys. Next week, it’s their turn in their final, and the boys will be right there returning the favour!
This victory is even more special as it marks the end of an era for eight of the 12 players who are in Year 12. Most of whom have been part of the Ivanhoe Volleyball Program since Years 7 and 8. Their dedication has built an amazing platform for our talented Years 9- 11 students to follow, hopefully ensuring that Ivanhoe remains a Volleyball powerhouse for years to come.
