UK Cricket Tour
The UK Cricket Tour has started off well with students landing in Scotland where they explored many of the historical sights and played some great matches as well. Despite a wet start to the tour, our boys were able to complete two of their three scheduled games in Scotland, and have just had a great victory against Durham. The two games in Scotland were both played on the picturesque Gordonstoun Oval. The performances in these two matches came from Will Buckingham 64 no and 53 no, Louis Grist 43 no, Daniel Gikovski 37 no, Tom Mileto 27 and Chris Ross 4/18.
In the game against Durham, we made 3/160 in 30 overs with Will Buckingham continuing his good form with a well-made 33, whilst Ikroop Dhanoa made an impressive 48 and Tom Mileto a handy 29. In reply, Durham managed just and 104 with Rikard Friedrick taking 3/27 and Angus Drysdale 4/14.
The boys will play another match against Durham before moving onto Manchester where they will play Altrincham Grammar School for Boys, followed by a match against Kings College in Macclesfield on Saturday.
With the trip still running for another two weeks, the group will undoubtedly get to play more exceptional cricket on world class grounds and get to explore some very famous places along the way.
