Tournament of Minds State Final
The Tournament of Minds State Final was held on Sunday 14 September at La Trobe University. A team of seven Ivanhoe Grammar School students competed against six schools in the Maths Engineering Challenge.
The competition was tough and it was a long day with the Final held between 9.00am and 6.00pm. Wonthaggi High School took out first place and both Ivanhoe and Girton Grammar School received honours for their fantastic efforts.
The students sacrificed a lot of their time throughout Term 3 to compete in the Tournament of Minds and should be very pleased with their results. The performance was witty and clever and the team was praised on their outstanding team work and ingenuity.
Congratulations to the team! Year 7’s Alex, Andrew and Tom, Zoe and Aishwarya from Year 8 and Sam and Liam from Year 9.
