Top Athlete selected for the AIS
Year 9 student, Charly Rouch has been selected by Little Athletics Australia for the U15 National camp at the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) during the September School holidays. This is especially remarkable as she has recently come back from a serious knee injury.
The camp has been running for the last four years with around 120 athletes from across Australia attending each year. This year the selection process has changed and Little Athletics Australia has selected the athletes to be invited, rather than the States selecting the athletes.
All athletes have been ranked from performances at the State Track & Field Championships and Multi-Event Championships across all seven State Associations. From there, only the top three athletes have been invited in each event in each gender for Track & Field and only the top athlete in the Multi’s from each gender.
The School is very excited for Charly, this will be a wonderful experience for her.
