The Ivy Voice
Who knew that a desire to work on an enjoyable and rewarding CAS project for two International Baccalaureate (IB) students would lead to the launch of The Ivy Voice, Ivanhoe Grammar Schools latest student-led publication. This new digital publication, encompassing all campuses, celebrates school life at Ivanhoe.
“The Ivy Voice publication aims to bring the Ivanhoe community closer by delving into the life of Ivanhoe students through their words, collaborating views from all campuses including the Primary Years,” said Year 11 students Emilie and Harriet.
Written by students for students, Edition 1 of The Ivy Voice is jam-packed with interesting content from across the School, such as in-depth interviews, student artwork, isolation observations, school-related news, recent events, and much more.
“Our first issue celebrates the student’s persistence and ingenuity through the pandemic maintaining smiles, including multiple perspectives of online learning in general, co-curricular and the running of sport from a distance. So, here’s to the cooking misadventures, walking the dog, experimental hair-colours, haircuts (or lack of) and countless hours of tv, teams and zoom calls, congrats, you made it,” said Emilie and Harriet.
We are thrilled for the cross-campus team for getting Edition 1 of The Ivy Voice up and running. Congratulations to creators Emilie and Harriet, as well as the writers, editors and content creators – Frank, James, Avriel, Luke, Ella, Christian and Andrea! The enthusiastic response from students and staff to the publication is testament to the hard work and talent of the student team who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to produce The Ivy Voice.
