Soccer Boys…Almost!
In an exciting match against arch rivals PEGS, the soccer boys had to be content with a one all draw after PEGS scored in the dying minutes. A goal in the second half from Tillman Stewart put us in a terrific position but with just seconds to go, PEGS scrambled an equaliser. The boys next match will be at Chelsworth Park next Saturday morning against Mentone, starting at 9:00am.
In other boys’ results, Marcellin proved too good for our footballers and Camberwell defeated our hockey boys; and despite Mr Rickards urging our cross country runners along (by doing a bit of running himself!), we did finish towards the tail of the field.
In girls’ sport, we also suffered defeats against Mentone (Netball and Basketball) and Geelong Grammar (Soccer) and our hockey girls had a bye.
Some excellent efforts not necessarily reflect in the results, but winter is long and there’s plenty of time yet.
