Sports Report

The final round proved to be a very good round for our basketball girls. We finished the season on a high winning three of the last four games. Particular congratulations to our three Year 12 girls, Zoe Vodden, Cecilia Baldassarre and Genna Krienke, who all represented the school so well. Looking ahead, the signs are positive for next year with Alana Mierisch, Jacqui Krienke and Bella Krienke all playing well on Saturday.

Both our girls’ netball and soccer teams finished with draws in their respective matches but overall, both teams performed well across the season with the girls’ netball team finishing 5th on the ladder (out of 12) and the girls’ soccer team finishing 6th (out of 10). Unfortunately, our hockey and football girls went down to Geelong College and Haileybury respectively.

Congratulations to the Girls Intermediate Football team for progressing to the Division 2 Grand Final. They will get the chance to play in the Herald Sun Shield Grand Finals next week on Wednesday 15 August in Ballarat against VS Luther College.
