Boys Soccer and Hockey Move Closer to Finals Action Whilst our Girls Did Deep to Score Exciting Wins
Our girls continued their recent run of success with excellent wins in netball, basketball and soccer. The basketball win was most impressive in a tight match between two equally matched teams but when Cecilia Baldassarre scored from her two free throws with just two seconds to go, we clenched the victory!
In a high scoring and intense soccer game, our girls managed to hold on and take a well-deserved win. Whilst this was a terrific team effort, excellent performances came from Yusra Tawfic, Betti Michael (3 goals), Felicity Georgopoulos (1 goal), Sarah Kendall (1 goal) and Shelby Green (2 goals).
And to top off the successful weekend for the girls, our netball girls dominated from the start and had a good win to help lift them up the ladder.
In boys’ sport, our boys’ soccer team took another step closer to securing a home final when they defeated Trinity by 2 goals, and our hockey team continued their strong form with a convincing win over Mentone. Well done boys!
