Sport Report
Our Boys’ Basketball Team played a nail-biter on Friday 15 March against Marcellin. Although down all match, and by a significant 16 points at 3/4 time, the boys would not give up and showed true determination by reducing the margin to just one point with less than 2 minutes to go. Unfortunately, a fumble or two in the dying seconds caused a turnover and the team eventually went down by just three points. It was a terrific effort overall and we congratulate the team and our supporters for showing incredible sportsmanship.
Similarly, our Boys’ Tennis Team once again felt the disappointment of finishing 2nd, and once again it was tight losing 9 sets to 7. This team has been a model of consistency for the last 6 years and we hope that pure persistence will eventually get us that elusive Premiership in 2020.
In girls sport, our three teams all enjoyed success with Volleyball still well placed to win a 2nd consecutive Premiership. It will be a big morning at the State Volleyball Centre next Saturday morning when the girls take on Yarra Valley Grammar for the title. Go girls!!
