Softball and Volleyball Girls Record Their First Wins of the Season
Last Saturday, both the softball and volleyball girls recorded their first wins of the 2015-16 season.
Playing against Carey Grammar School, the softball girls won 21 to 6 in a most impressive display. Led by Captain Jacquie Mitchelhill, who pulled off a spectacular catch in the 5th innings (which led to a double play), and supported with some good hitting from Chloe Dellavedova, Cecilia Baldassarre and Tysha Clark, excellent base running from Maggie Fitzpatrick, solid defensive work from Taylor Marshall and Georgia Harper and enthusiasm from Year 8 students Emma Sands and Brooklyn Hutton, the girls simply were simply too strong for their opposition.
It was also great to see the girls and boys volleyball teams enjoy a successful weekend, both recording their first wins for the season.
The boys’ tennis team remain the only undefeated team after four rounds.
