Music Masterclass
On Tuesday 12 July, renowned clarinet and saxophone soloist, Jason Xanthoudakis ran a master class for music students. Jason frequently gives master classes and workshops on various single reed instruments, playing at schools and universities across Australia and Asia.
Jason has a busy performance schedule including performances on both Clarinet(s) and Saxophone with the Australian Opera and Ballet Orchestra, the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra Victoria and the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, as well as frequent solo recitals around Australia. He currently plays in the NSW Police Band which sees him touring Australia for over 200 performances a year.
The master class was conducted in the Tom Golden Music School and attended by student woodwind musicians.
Jason shared his knowledge of woodwind performance for the benefit of students present and workshopped a performance by Oscar Hales (Clarinet).
The School has a wonderful and vibrant music program and conducts master classes and workshops with professional performers throughout the year to inspire and teach students about music and the industry.
