International Student reception at Government House
On Wednesday 2 March, international students Kim Wang, Andrea Pan, Joyce Lam and Shota Imai attended the Victorian International School Student Welcome Event at Government House as invited guests of The Honourable Linda Dessau AM, Governor of Victoria
At the start of proceedings, Governor Dessau gave a very warm welcome to all in the very prestigious and ornate Ball Room, prior to morning tea being served in the Garden. Kim, Andrea, Joyce and Shota were able to tour the State Apartments, including the Dining room and also the Billiard Room, mingling with other international students and Consular representatives.
Ms Judith Graley, MP, Parliamentary Secretary to the Deputy Premier also welcomed the students along with an address by International Student Leadership Award recipient, Ms Essie Ma, who challenged all students to take up the amazing opportunities Schools, such as Ivanhoe Grammar School, have on offer.
