International Graduate Returns
Min Ha Kim, originally from Korea, started in Year 8 in the ELICOS Program in 2009 and successfully completed the VCE in 2013. Min Ha is an extremely talented artist and is now studying at the New York School of Visual Art majoring in Graphic Design.
In her final year of School, Min Ha received the Acquisition Award for her outstanding mixed media mural and this artwork is proudly displayed in the Year 7 area of the Middle Years Centre. On a short trip back to Melbourne, she made time to visit her teachers and reacquaint herself with all the changes on campus.
Ivanhoe has a vibrant Visual Arts program. The Visual Arts Faculty, situated on the top floor of the ArtsEdge at Locksley is panoramic in both its vista, with seven upper level studios, and in the diversity of studio practices experienced in the curriculum offerings. With a knowledge base embedded in the theory and practice in the visual arts, subject offerings include drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture, visual communication and design, digital media and art appreciation.
International students first attended Ivanhoe Grammar School in 1941 from Malaysia and Indonesia. Since then the School has welcomed students from all over South East Asia. Ivanhoe Grammar School is a co-educational day school of over 2000 students and is endorsed to enrol international students from Preparatory to Year 12.
Students can enrol at The Ridgeway Campus in Ivanhoe or Plenty Campus in Mernda. Ivanhoe Grammar School welcomes students of all nationalities and faiths, and values the richness of its population, which reflects the multi-cultural nature of contemporary Australian society.
