International Baccalaureate Visual Arts Exhibition

Congratulations to the six students from the class of 2024 who had their artworks selected for the IBDP Graduate Visual Arts Exhibition held at the Glen Eira Gallery, Caulfield.

The exhibition showcased exemplary artworks from the IBDP Schools across Victoria and Tasmania and coincides with the IBDP Visual Arts Seminar held on Sunday 23 of February.  Over 230 current Year 11 and 12 Visual Arts students from IB schools across Victoria and Tasmania came together at the Glen Eira Gallery for the Seminar to hear from high-achieving Visual Arts students, assessors, and practising artists.

Alumna Lavinia spoke to the students about her experience working collaboratively on her video animation with IB Music student Gus. She discussed how she and Gus worked together to make the music and imagery complement and enhance the viewing experience. Lavinia explained to the eager listeners how she taught herself the software to create her animated dystopian and utopian worlds including 3D scanning her bird sculptures to make them fly through her landscapes.
