IGNITE Expo
Students spent their final week of Year 9, before the Early Commencement Period (ECP) showcasing their IGNITE projects. IGNITE is a subject that empowers students to explore their passions and interests. This was the 12th Expo for University Campus and the students’ creativity and dedication continue to amaze us every year.
The Expo included many innovative and wonderful projects such as:
- A dress made from recycled bits of material
- An App providing speech for the visually impaired – 4Sight
- A fiction book full of short stories written by a Year 9 student
- A student who created the music and lyrics for five songs about climate change and they are available on Spotify!
- A student with the impressive ability to name any country—along with its capital, a description of its flag, and a brief history.
There was also a fairy house, a life-size model of Cathy Freeman, a restored go-kart and so much more!
Students thoroughly enjoyed showcasing their work and it was wonderful to see so many parents and staff attend the expo. Thank you to everyone for their support, it was a fabulous evening.
