Hoop Time Basketball Tournament
On Tuesday 25 October the Boys Years 3 & 4 Basketball team competed at the Regional Hoop Time tournament at the Nunawading Basketball Stadium. The challenge was to make the top 3 of the 15 teams and qualify for the State Hoop Time championships.
The Boys started off brilliantly winning their first 3 games and qualifying for the final. They displayed excellent team work, continually sharing and passing the ball. It was a very even team with all 10 boys contributing and scoring on the day.
They played Langwarrin Primary school in the final and after a nervous start where the scores sat at 3 all for a while. However late in the first half the boys put the pressure, got some steals and quickly got a 10 point break for half time. The team was able to slightly extend that lead in the second half to record a great win, remain undefeated and qualify for the State Hoop Time Basketball championships at Dandenong on November 21st.
