In a much improved team performance, the Ivanhoe Football Team fought well all day to record a resounding victory over a plucky Yarra team. The key was the willingness of all to play together giving a vastly different result from the first round.
,, In Girls Basketball, the game went literally to the last seconds. In a tightly fought contest and with several lead changes, the Girls were able to come up with a 1 point win with Romy Costa hitting two clutch free throws with 9 seconds to go to get them over the line in an exciting game.

Ivanhoe’s Girl netballers certainly had to work hard for their win over Assumption College. Although leading for most of the game, the opposition kept coming back time and time again. But credit to the Girls who showed terrific control when the pressure was on.

In soccer, both Ivanhoe’s Boys’ and Girls’ teams struggled somewhat. In a hard fought game, the Boys had to be content with a draw against Mentone, whilst the Girls found the Haileybury opposition just too strong.

The Hockey Boys, in their 1st game of the season, had a terrific game against Yarra Valley, only to fall short by 1 goal.
