Farewell Class of 2014
Throughout this week Ivanhoe Grammar School farewelled the Class of 2014 as they celebrated their final classes at secondary school and enter exam preparation. A variety of events have been held across the campuses to celebrate the students’ time at the School.
These final few days have been celebrated with a range of activities planned for Year 12 students, their parents and teachers. Year 12 students on both campuses took advantage of the opportunity to dress up in colourful and creative costumes and attended barbecue breakfasts with their parents and teachers. This was followed by their final assemblies and chapel services as students at Ivanhoe Grammar School.
At The Ridgeway Campus, a guard of honour was formed as the Year 12’s walked down the Ridge to North Ground and finishing at Locksley for morning tea. At the Plenty Campus, the Class of 2014 celebrated with a pyjama day and final assembly. Their final chapel service was followed by the planting of the Year 12 tree.
The celebrations will continue into the weekend with Valedictory Dinners held on Thursday 16 October (Plenty Campus) and Friday 17 October (The Ridgeway Campus). At these nights each student is formally farewelled from Ivanhoe and presented with Valete, the Year 12 Yearbook, in front of their parents and teachers.
Ivanhoe Grammar School is proud of the achievements of its Class of 2014 and wishes each Year 12 student all the very best as they prepare for their final examinations and embark on the next chapter of their lives.
