22 July 2019

On Friday 19 July 2019 at approximately 5pm, a senior student from Ivanhoe Grammar School’s Plenty Campus was involved in a serious traffic accident on Bridge Inn Road, Doreen.

While our senior student remains in a serious condition, we continue to be comforted by the fact that he is receiving the best possible care and attention.

We are acutely aware of the impact this incident has had on our school community and those directly involved. We are working to support them as required.

We are also aware of the impact this incident has had on the local community. There were a number of first responders at the scene who provided assistance and care to those injured and those who witnessed the incident, until Emergency Services personnel and school staff arrived at the scene.

On behalf of everyone at our school, we would like to express our sincere gratitude to the people at the scene who provided immediate assistance and care. Thank you also to those who have expressed concern and sent messages of support.

Our student and his family are in our thoughts and prayers, as are all involved; especially any others injured in this incident.

Yours sincerely
