Cheshire Cat Café
On Thursday 16 June Year 9 students opened the Cheshire Cat Café for High Tea. A classroom in the Middle Years Centre was transformed into a wonderful café setting overlooking the North Ground with a fabulous menu and reasonable prices.
,, Students were involved with every part of running a small business and were able to practice their skills with many of the Ivanhoe community booking a table or ordering takeaway from the mobile delivery service that was offered in addition to the sit-down café.
Students were split into groups to cover all business areas of running a café, including marketing, business, food and decoration.
The Year 9 out of Classroom program runs on three separate occasions during the year and gives students the opportunity to participate in experiential learning outside the classroom.
