Banyule Division Athletics Carnival
On a very cold and windy Wednesday, twenty four Buckley House students competed in a total of thirty one events at the Banyule Division Athletics Carnival at Meadow Glen Athletics Track.
Despite the trying conditions all students performed strongly and we placed first, second or third in twenty one events. Sixteen students recorded a top two finish in their event which means that they will now advance to the Northern Metropolitan Region carnival on Wednesday 12th October.
Good luck to Athan McLauglin – discus, Kallie Lypoulis, Tansy Elliott and Ben Lawson – 200m, Jack Grant –high jump, Alana Edgley and Lucy Schaefer – hurdles, Nelly Tragardh – 800m, Noah Hill – 100m and 1500m, Tyson Nagel – 800m and 1500m and Jack McInerney – long jump and triple jump.
As well as the 11 year girls relay team – Tansy Elliott, Lexy McIntyre, Marie Mercorillo, Adrienne Battistella and the 12-13 year boys relay team – Noah Hill, Ben Lawson, Lazarus Archimandritis, Oliver Blunt.
