AeroSchools National Championships Success
On Friday 15 September, eight talented Buckley House students competed in the 2023 AeroSchools National Championships, which were held at the Gold Coast Sports and Leisure Centre in Queensland.
After qualifying in the Victorian State AeroSchools Competition in August, Lucy C, Livia, Lucy N, Bella, Evie, Demi, Emily and Chara trained hard to maintain and improve their strength, flexibility and agility, to ensure they were prepared for the National Championships.
With the support of Mr Feben, and under the expertise and knowledge of Coach Brooke O’Sullivan, a former Ivanhoe Grammar student, the girls put in many extra hours of training to perfect their routines.
After competing with many schools from across Australia, the Team achieved some outstanding results, including Gold and Silver medals in the Lower Primary Multiple Section, a Gold Medal in the Lower Primary Team Section and an Award for Excellence in the Upper Primary Multiple Section.
Their impressive results, combined with the Senior School results, ensured that Ivanhoe Grammar won the 2023 AeroSchools 3rd Place Champion School Trophy.
