2014 Piano and Soloists Competition
The Music Departments of Ridgeway and Plenty Campus would like to announce the results of the Finale Performance of the 2014 Piano and Soloists’ Competition. The event held in Buckley Hall on Wednesday, 20 August once again showcased a stunning standard of performance by Ivanhoe Grammar School Students.
This year the School was privileged to have Ms Elizabeth Mitchell from Melbourne Conservatorium of Music as guest adjudicator.
First Prize in the Senior Performer Category is named the “Ivan and June Fox Trophy” in honour of their support for the development of Music at the School and the purchase of the grand piano in Buckley Hall.
After considered deliberation, Ms Mitchell announced the awardees from the night’s performances. The Player Awards had been decided during the previous audition heats of the competition, only the Performer sections were adjudicated at the Final Performance.
