Australian Mathematics Competition
Students from Years 7-10 participated in the Mathematics Challenge for Young Australians and the Australian Mathematics Competition.
The Mathematics Challenge for Young Australians is a staged challenge that was completed over a two month period, in which students are motivated, stimulated and encouraged to work mathematically to solve a range of problem-solving.
The Australian Mathematics Competition required students to solve 30 problems in 75 minutes. The problems were designed to test mathematical thinking and answering without the use of a calculator. Our students did an outstanding job – congratulations to all students who participated. Results below.
