Girls’ Volleyball Thriller!
Our girls’ volleyball team kicked off their season with an exciting three sets to two sets win against reigning premiers, Haileybury. Coming from two sets down, the girls showed excellent skill and incredible fight to take the points.
And both our girls’ touch football and softball teams started the year in great fashion with convincing wins. In softball, Brooklyn Hutton, Emma Sands and our captain, Cecillia Baldassarre, all led from the front and played superbly. In touch football, we won the midfield defense and were able to make some great tries, especially with Olivia Gliddon dominating.
Boys’ tennis, badminton and table tennis all continued their winning streaks; however, our cricket boys were unable to defend their score of 224, made possible with Fear scoring his first half-century for the school.
Our boys’ basketballers got their season up and running with a terrific win against Yarra Valley, 48-41. Both Mackenzie Graham and Noah McShanag-Munn used great teamwork to bring all the boys into the game.
