Weekend Sports Report
Some results from the weekend’s sports.
Footballers dominate, hockey enjoy first win and our soccer boys and girls taste success
The football boys were keen to get back on the winning list when they played Yarra Valley at Chelsworth Park last Friday…and they certainly brought their ‘A’ game. Showing great intent from the first bounce of the ball, Max Dreher, Patrick Naish and Luke Minahan led from the front and dominated around the ground. Oscar McIntyre and Tom McKenzie were also notable in a terrific team performance.
In other boys’ results, our soccer team had a good win against an improving Mentone, with Cameron Di Ciocco (3 goals) and Tilmann Stewart (1 goal) starring, and our hockey boys had their first win of the season with Alex Martin, Tom Brightling and the Meadon boys (Jonah and Tom) leading the way.
In girls’ sport, we had to be content with just win with our soccer girls having a hard fought game against PEGS but coming out on top (just) by one goal!
