The Summer Season of Sport
The AGSV Boys’ Competition commenced over the weekend with games against Mentone and Yarra Valley.
The Volleyball and Tennis Boys began the season with good wins.
In what was a repeat match of last season’s Grand Final, the Ivanhoe tennis boys this time reversed the result against Mentone and recorded a 12-4 victory. Unfortunately for our cricketers and basketballers, Mentone took the honours, albeit in very tight matches.
And fresh back from his overseas teaching assignment, John McInerney coached the volleyball boys to a commanding 3-0 victory over Yarra Valley. Well done boys!
