Music Workshops with Hong Kong Band
Over Sixty-eight students from Li Ka Shing College (LKS) and Yow Kam Yuen College (YKY) arrived on Tuesday 16 August from Hong Kong.
Both schools are in the “Tung Wah Group of Hospitals”, the largest charity association in Hong Kong which runs numerous hospitals, clinics, schools and day care centers. They came as special guests to perform at the Victorian Schools Band Festival. Ivanhoe Grammar School was honored to be included as one of three schools to workshop with this group during their visit.
Students of the Ridgeway Wind Symphony enjoyed the wonderful performance of the combined band of LKS and YKY. The Ivanhoe students also gave a superb performance to great applause from guests.
Ivanhoe Grammar School has a vibrant and cutting-edge music scene with many opportunities throughout the year for students to perform and experience the joys of listening to other musicians.
