Premiership for Netballers
With a commanding 74-29 victory over Mentone, the girls netball team maintained their 11 game winning streak and completed the season undefeated. In doing so, they won a third consecutive Premiership in the prestigious AGSV/APS netball competition.
Coached superbly by Julie Hibberd, the girls led from the start with Tee Siania and Suli Leota scoring regularly. Field players, Olivia Gigli (Captain), Ella Shannon, Lauren Pentony and Emily Anderson worked the court brilliantly, and with Georgia Harper and Bella Hines repelling all attacks, the girls really did put on an outstanding display. This is an outstanding result for a great team, their attitude both on and off the court, coupled with brilliant netball skills, has brought great pride to the school.
In the girl’s consolation rounds, both the School’s basketballers and soccer players had two more good wins. Up against PEGs in both games, it was terrific to see the girls finish the season on a high! Well done.
