Digital Leaders
The School has student Digital Leaders in the Primary and Senior Years. In the primary years, students have done some amazing things such as presented at a conference, run workshops for other schools, developed their own online TV series, ran KidMeets for staff, assisted in class, ran lunchtime clubs and much more.
In the Senior Years, Student Technicians make up the Digital Technology Group, which are a collection of Senior Years students who assist with the deployment of notebooks and work on special projects such as Virtual Reality 360 degree video creation. They also assist with IT/AV at Assemblies and major School events.
The Digital Technology Leader at Plenty Campus is Year 11 student Liam Saliba. The other members of the group are made up of Year 8 – 11 students: Ethan Clare, Katrina Dalgleish, Julien Di Lorenzo, Nicholas Goldie, Andy Qi, Cooper Simmons and Connor Suchowiecki.
For Middle Years students a weekly Makerspace is held which allows interested students of all ages to work on building circuits, 3D printing, game creation and to immerse themselves in Virtual Reality.
It is wonderful to see students enjoying and exploring the many digital technologies available whilst empowering them to take ownership of projects and try new things.
