Run for the Kids
Team Ivanhoe took to the pavement on Sunday 20 March, relishing quite possibly the most beautiful morning Melbourne could serve up. Alumni, current students, staff and parents came together to walk, jog or run all for a great cause.
The primary aim for this much-loved community event is to raise funds for the Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal. Run for the Kids is now in its eleventh year and the funds raised for this event go to fund projects, research and technological innovations to ensure children at the Royal Children’s Hospital receive the best treatment possible.
Well done to the following students who participated in fine form and were great ambassadors for the School and OIGA wearing the Old Ivanhoe t-shirt: Olivia Carah (Year 11), Charlotte Groenewegen (Year 8), Lilly Hooper (Year 12), Khushi Jadhav (Year 8), Janelle Logan (Year 8), Mikayla Shields (Year 7), Jasmine Toronis (Year 7), Lauren Vodden (Year 8), Isobel Wake (Year 8), Patrick Woodward (Year 12).
All in all, it was a great event which brought together members of our whole School community and even included an unexpected star-studded moment meeting Opposition Leader Bill Shorten!
