Firsts’ Teams Continue to Shine
The 2016 sport season has been a huge success so far with the Cricket Team pulling off an amazing win in the first week and eight out of the nine Firsts’ Teams having a win.
In the second week in girls’ sport, Ivanhoe’s Soft Ball team continued on their winning ways with a hard fought 11 to 7 win over PEGS, and Ivanhoe’s Tennis girls scored a narrow win over Geelong Grammar School 9-7. Unfortunately the Volleyballers had a narrow loss to PEGS, despite winning the first two sets.
In boys’ sport, all teams had wins which is a fantastic result. Ivanhoe’s cricketers made hard work of chasing down 98, scraping over the line with just three wickets in hand.
Lachlan Murphy’s energetic hitting towards the end of the innings, finally paid off!! Our Basketballers also had a narrow win over PEGS, 46 to 43.
