Adam Provaznik hits the slopes for National Team
Ivanhoe student, Adam Provaznik has been selected for the National Alpine Ski Under 16s Team; an outstanding achievement for a dedicated and skilled skiier.
Adam has been skiing since he was two and initially was chosen for the Swiss Ski Team before he moved to Australia. Since living in Australia, he has skiied with the Ivanhoe Snow Sports team and it was here that he was spotted by an Australian coach who invited him to train with an Australian team in Leogang, Austria. Now, after a season of training here with the Mount Buller Race Club he has had numerous successes, including finishing second overall in Slalom.
His intensive training has begun, with sessions before school in order for him to prepare for his trip to Europe where he will be building up to the Children’s World Cup races at the start of the March.
A massive congratulations to Adam! We are sure there will be many more successes to come.
