Ivanhoe students visit Happy Football Cambodia
As part of the recent Cambodian Service Project, students had a wonderful opportunity to visit and be part of an inspiring project that works with disadvantaged youth improving their wellbeing through football – The Happy Football Cambodia Association. Girls and boys from Ivanhoe visited and played the popular sport with Cambodian students enrolled on the project.
Helen Page-Wood, the Individual Student Programs Co-ordinator and one of the teachers on the project said, “We spent time getting to know some of the children, and many photos were taken as we played soccer together. Some of our fundraising money from the preceding six months was contributed to HFCA alongside a generous donation of kits, boots and soccer balls from Matt Nakulski, whose efforts did not go unnoticed. Overall, the experience was fun for everyone and was the perfect way to kick-start our project. “
