Night of the Notables
On Thursday 4 December the Year 8 students performed the ‘Night of the Notables’ which is a research and presentation piece. The night was a terrific celebration of what Ivanhoe students are able to achieve through the support of dedicated staff. The students were thoroughly engaging as their notables and it was clear that they knew their characters well, which demonstrated the work that they had put in to their research and preparation.
Characters from a variety of industries throughout history were performed on the night including Rembrandt, Dr Seuss, Oskar Schindler, William Shakespeare, CS Lewis, Helena Rubenstein, Lawrence of Arabia, Ludwig Van Beethoven, Bob Hawke, Benjamin Franklin, Jane Austen, Beatrix Potter, Florence Nightingale, Roald Dahl and Joan of Arc.
The feedback from families and guests across the evening was glowingly positive and they were very appreciative of the efforts that staff had made to ensure that this evening was a memorable one.
