Equestrian Victoria Interschool State Championships
Hundreds of school students converged on Werribee Park National Equestrian Centre for the 2014 Equestrian Victoria Interschool State Championships. Riders competed in a variety of events such as Dressage, Show jumping and Combined Training and despite the very cold weather, competitors were blessed with some clear sunny days and had a fantastic time in the ‘Olympic Village’.
The Ivanhoe Grammar School Team comprised Hannah Bathen, Jessica Grant, Jorjia Adams, Edward Darby, Lily Dobson, Clancy Grant and Alice D. It was a very busy week for the Team and all riders performed very well against the best in Victoria. Best performances were from, Edward Darby and Clancy Grant – Show jumping, Jess Grant – Show jumping and Dressage and Hannah Bathen and Jorjia Adams – Dressage.
Individual Results:
Edward Darby, Year 7 – Show jumping, Reserve Champion and Best Performed Secondary Boy
Jorjia Adams, Year 9 – Secondary Advanced, 4th
Hannah Bathen, Year 11 – Prix St Georges, 3rd
Jess Grant, Year 9 – Medium Dressage, 4th
Clancy Grant, Year 6 – Show jumping, Reserve Champion
Congratulations to the Ivanhoe Equestrian Team who placed equal sixth overall against some very tough competition.
