Once Upon A Time
On Monday 21 November the community gathered for the annual Grandparents/ Special Friends Day and Primary Art Show. The theme for the Art Show this year was Once Upon a Time with students and staff getting into the spirit of the event dressed as a character from one of their favourite fairy tales. The Creative Arts Centre was transformed into a light-filled gallery with some wonderful artwork on display.
This fantastic event provides an opportunity for family members to visit the school and observe the wonderful learning that is taking place. Throughout the year in their Visual Arts lessons, students looked at many famous fairy tales such as Beauty and the Beast, Rapunzel and Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs to name a few. Students thoroughly enjoyed the creative process of turning books into unique pieces of art.
