Welcome to Fiona Devlin
Following an extensive search in 2021, Ivanhoe Grammar School is delighted to announce the appointment of Fiona Devlin as the new Deputy Principal/Head of Plenty Campus. Fiona replaces Dan Brown who moved to a new school in Queensland after five years in the role. Renata Rowe was the Acting Deputy Principal/Head of Plenty Campus for Term 1, 2022 and we thank her for her capable leadership during this time.
A special assembly in honour of Fiona was held recently. At the assembly, Deputy Head of Campus Renata Rowe, School Captains, and Primary Captains warmly welcomed Fiona to the School Community. At the Assembly Renata Rowe organised for special symbolic gifts to be presented to Fiona and spoke of the special Plenty Campus culture. ‘We look forward to working with you Mrs Devlin,’ Mrs Rowe said.
Fiona is a strategic leader with a focus on making a positive impact on the holistic education of individual learners. Principal Gerard Foley praised Fiona’s skills. ‘Fiona’s experience, leadership and commitment are well suited to the future growth and direction of Plenty Campus. During the interview process it was most evident that Fiona’s educational philosophy, care for students, capacity to build community and values are strongly aligned with ours,’ Mr Foley said.
Prior to taking on her role as Deputy Principal and Head of Plenty Campus, Fiona was the Acting Principal of Hunter Valley Grammar School in NSW. She has held numerous other roles at schools including Head of House, Director of Sport, Director of College and Community Engagement, and Deputy Principal and Head of the Senior School. Fiona is a global citizen with a passion for sharing her travel and service experiences with the community to inspire them to remain focused on our wider world with what we can achieve when we all work together.
We are delighted that Fiona, her husband Lloyd (‘94) and their children Elise and Cory have joined our School Community. A special Head of Campus Welcome function for parents and staff is being held on Tuesday 3 May in the Founders’ Centre from 7.00pm at Plenty Campus.
