Application Process

To apply for any of our Current Vacancies please complete our Application for Employment form.  Applications will close when a successful candidate has been appointed. Interviews will take place during this process. If applications cannot be submitted via the online system you may forward your application to employment@ivanhoe.com.au.

Once the application has been submitted online, a confirmation page will be displayed advising the School has received your application. 

Academic Staff

All staff employed by Ivanhoe Grammar School as Classroom teachers must be registered with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT).

The following information is required in the curriculum vitae:

  • VIT registration number and expiry date.
  • Educational qualifications including qualification and type, name of institution, majors and dates completed.
  • Teaching employment history including employer, state/independent, dates employed and work status.
  • Current certificates and professional qualifications i.e. anaphylaxis, first aid, surf lifesaving.

Non Teaching Staff

All non-teaching staff employed at Ivanhoe Grammar School are required to have a current employee Working With Children Check. A volunteer check is not sufficient. To apply visit www.workingwithchildren.vic.gov.au.  

Reference checks

The School requires at least two verbal references from current or former employers of the candidate with details of position title, school or company and contact numbers.
