Victorian International School Student Award

On Thursday 21 May the annual Victorian International School Student Awards were held at Queens Hall, Parliament House.

Cepheus Liu (’14) received a 2014 Victorian International Student Award Commendation for Academic Excellence, which is presented to a Year 12 student who has achieved the highest ATAR score in VCE or IB equivalent, and to a Year 11 international student who has obtained the highest level of achievement in all subjects.

Ms Judith Graley MP, Parliamentary Secretray to the Deputy Premier, and The Hon James Merlino MP presented Cepheus with his award and Chinese, Japanese and Indonesian Consulate officials were also in attendance.

These awards are held in high regard and the competition is fierce. The program provides an opportunity to showcase and profile the high quality of its school educational offerings by highlighting the achievements and contributions of international students.

Cepheus is currently studying Commerce at The University of Melbourne and is enjoying his course and university life.
