Victorian All Schools Cross Country Championships

On Saturday 13 June students from all campuses represented Ivanhoe Grammar School at the Victorian All Schools Cross Country Championships at Bundoora Park.

The very hilly course proved challenging and all runners gave performances that they and the School should be extremely proud of.

Achievements of particular note include Year 6 student Zoe from Plenty Campus who came 23rd in the Girls’ U14 – Zoe is only 11 years old! Likewise, Buckley House student Lachlan performed well in the Boys’ U14 division. Year 8 student Amy came 4th in the Girls’ U15 and earned a place in the Victorian team and will compete at a national level competition later in the year. Fellow Year 8 student Taylor finished a very respectable 45th in the same race. The best placed male competitor on the day was Year 11 student Nathaniel who finished 28th in the Boys’ U17, a fantastic achievement for our Team Captain.

Well done to all runners who competed in the event.

Thank you to Liam Oliver (Coach) and all the wonderful parents who enjoyed cheering on our students.
