Pinocchio A Wonderful Success

The highly anticipated Buckley House Musical production of ‘Pinocchio’ debuted on Wednesday 10 September, featuring all of the Buckley House Primary students.

The Musical was adapted from the original story of Pinocchio by Italian writer Carlo Collodi, in which a woodcarver named Geppetto created a wooden puppet who dreams of becoming a real boy. A far cry from the Walt Disney counterpart, in the original tale, Pinocchio exhibits obnoxious, bratty, and selfish traits.

The Buckley House production was performed over two nights, with students in Years Prep to 3 divided into Cast A and B and all students in Years 4 to 6 performing on both nights.

Students had been rehearsing regularly and their hard work and dedication paid off, delighting students, parents and friends alike who filled all the stalls in Buckley Hall.

All students involved in the Musical are to be congratulated for presenting such well-polished and confident performances on the night and for all the effort they put in to preparing for the production.

Well done also to the music staff at Buckley House who helped the students prepare for their performances. Thank you to all the Buckley House families and friends who came along to support our students.
